Meet Jamaica
Jamaica René is a multifaceted creative based in Atlanta, Georgia, originally from Oakland, California. Specializing in film and video production, she received her Bachelor of Arts in English from Spelman College and her Master of Fine Arts in Film and Television from Savannah College of Art and Design. Jamaica has written, directed, and produced several projects ranging from narrative and documentary films to commercials and music videos. She is passionate about storytelling and motivated by the opportunity to increase the representation of underrepresented voices in all facets.
Jamaica has had films accepted into the Oakland International Film Festival and the Black Girls Rock Film Festival and has two films available for streaming on Aspire TV and Revolt TV, respectively. She has also worked with institutions such as The City of Decatur, Spelman College, and Destined 2 Dance Studio and Performing Arts to help bring their documentary visions to life. 
In addition to film and video, Jamaica also has experience in marketing strategy and event coordination.
